Meet the College Relations Team

Position: Vice President of College Relations

Philip Brach oversees the College Relations office. This includes the strategic and operational direction of philanthropic programs from individual giving to major gifts. Additionally, the office coordinates all external relationships for the college, including alumni, parents, friends, business, and community leaders.

Augusta L. Gladd ’91 has returned to the Abbey leading the major gifts program and developing strategic philanthropic opportunities for advancing the College’s mission with alumni, parents, friends, and other community leaders.

Position: Associate Vice President of Development

To mark the º£½ÇÉçÔÚÏß’s 150 year anniversary, Andrew oversees the capital campaign strategy. In working with departments across campus, Andrew identifies the needs of the college and works with outside partners to craft communications of these needs to the broader community.
Andrew also oversees prospect research, the strategy for parent relations, and numerous volunteer boards that are created for specific departments.

Position: Associate VP for Washington, D.C. Programs

Anthony Niles, Associate Vice President of Washington Programs, is responsible for external relations and resource development specific to the expansion of º£½ÇÉçÔÚÏß’s presence in the nation’s capital through the Belmont House.
Prior to joining Belmont Abbey, Anthony helped to lead The Heritage Foundation as Senior Advisor to the President, providing strategic counsel for Donor Relations.
Anthony has worked across both public and private sectors, starting his career in real estate private equity fundraising at Cushman and Wakefield. Discerning the call to apply his professional experiences to mission-driven work, Anthony accepted the role as campaign manager for Saint Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, where the school successfully completed a $100 million dollar capital campaign.
In 2018, Anthony moved to Washington, D.C. where he served a variety of non-profits helping to lead their fundraising and external relations, including The Heights School in Potomac, Maryland and the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America.
Anthony studied at Franciscan University of Steubenville, earning a B.S. in Legal Studies, and is currently enrolled at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he is pursuing advanced studies in Non-Profit Management.

Mike Ellis (’90) has joined The Abbey in a role of engagement and outreach to our alumni population. He is focused on building relationships and ensuring that all alumni feel connected to their alma mater.

Position: Executive Director of Major Gifts

Chris Egan is responsible for keeping alumni and benefactors engaged with the College, and securing financial resources to further the mission of the College. Chris travels extensively to meet with alumni across the country.

Position: Executive Assistant to the Vice President of College Relations

Jenny provides organizational and clerical support for the Vice President of College Relations. This includes organizing information, data entry, scheduling appointments, proofreading, receiving guests and more.


Position: Parent and Reunion Giving Manager

Angela is responsible for building relationships with parents and the management of the Parent Council, a group of committed parents who financially support the school with a gift of $5,000 annually. Angela also manages reunion year giving initiatives.

Position: Gifts Processing Coordinator

Chloe Taylor ’24 has returned to the Abbey in a role of engagement with donors and alumni by processing daily gifts and managing stewardship, leaving donors with a smile after every interaction.

Position: Corporations and Foundations Relations Director

In this role, Debbie is responsible for creating new levels of philanthropic support from corporations, area companies and foundations as well as deepening the engagement with our existing corporate and foundation partners to advance key areas of growth for the college.

Olivia Wylie is responsible for the college relations data management, ensuring accuracy of reports for gift officers. She also plays a role in assisting with gift processing and stewardship.

Grounded in possibilities
Having an education rooted in the liberal arts provided me with a well-rounded understanding of different areas of study, and refined my ability to learn and think critically. I made some of my best friends and met some incredible professors and mentors during my time there.
